Delete your account

How to delete your Liftitude account, and exactly what deletion removes.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in to Liftitude with the Google account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. If you want a copy of your online data first, choose Download my online Liftitude data.
  4. Choose Delete online account.
  5. Type DELETE in the confirmation box and choose Delete my online account.

Deletion happens immediately. You are not asked for your Google password at any point, and it cannot be undone.

What deletion removes

These are deleted together in a single database transaction, so either all of it goes or none of it does:

  • Your account record — name, email address, profile image URL.
  • The link between your account and Google.
  • Every active session, so you are signed out everywhere.
  • Your online profile fields.
  • Your online preferences.
  • Your online daily-goal settings.

What deletion does not remove

Deleting your online account does not delete the records stored in your browser — workouts, journal entries, nutrition, routes and the rest. Those never left your device, so we cannot reach them.

To remove those as well, use Settings → Danger zone in the application before or after deleting your online account. That is a separate action with its own confirmation. Clearing your browser's site data also removes them.

Rate-limit counters are keyed by client IP address and request path rather than by account, so they are not tied to you and are not part of account deletion. They roll over on their own short time window.

Signing in again afterwards

Nothing stops you coming back. Signing in with Google again creates a brand-new online account with no connection to the deleted one — new account record, new sign-in link, no profile, no preferences and no goals. Records still in your browser on that device remain available.
